Our Founder and CEO is impassioned by the desire to share the multitude of successes that positively impact and enrich the Black community so that we turn to each other first. We are out here winning every day and MelanList is spreading the word. A seasoned Talent Development Executive with expertise in building teams, bridging gaps, and garnering buy-in, SJ is determined to lead MelanList with culture first. With an unwavering commitment to the unity of the African Diaspora, MelanList is a global organization focused on strengthening the relationship between African-descended business owners and their consumers.

ML: seeks to empower the Black community. Here, Black does not mean skin color - it means culture. Our Jamaa is not homogeneous and has various skin tones and beliefs. One shared belief is that Black lives definitely matter. We strive to be inclusive of all who support the community.
MelanList offers our Business Partners a shortcut to gaining the trust of new customers. Business Partners are admitted after an evaluation of their brand and a commitment to the community. We’ve set out to make buying Black more convenient and credible.
The customers of our Partners are also our Jamaa. Patrons are financial activists who are passionate about practicing group economics.
